Back to School with KPM Franklin

Since Central Florida students are returning to school this week, check out some of KPM Franklin’s local school projects. We have provided engineering, landscape architecture and surveying services for brand new development and re-imagined designs of schools. We worked from concept to completion, providing site planning, stormwater management and irrigation design among other services for these local institutions.

Independence Classical Academy Charter School Fort Pierce

KPMF has provided conceptual engineering design and site development planning for a K-12 charter school located on an 11.5-acre parcel in St. Lucie County, FL, with the project occupying six acres of the northern half. The drainage scope of work included a surface stormwater management facility and the modification of an existing wet pond, which was expanded to accommodate both the existing and proposed development.

KMPF recently began working on a second development phase with Independence Classical Academy to design the site for a gymnasium building.

NorthStar Academies Charter School St. Petersburg

KPMF provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for site development for a 600-student charter school for grades 6-12. The 22,200 square-foot building is located on 2.6 acres in St. Petersburg, Florida. The scope of work included conceptual engineering and site planning, stormwater management, landscape and irrigation design.

UCP West Orange – Winter Garden

KPMF provided civil engineering, landscape architecture and surveying services for the West Orange Charter School on 8.1 acres in Orange County, FL. The single-story, 25,000-square-foot building will offer educational therapy services for 325 students. KPMF provided construction administration, construction plans, landscape and irrigation design and surveying services to construct a school building, drive aisles, parking lots, sidewalks and included the design of a stormwater management plan.

Reborn Christian Academy School Expansion Kissimmee

KPMF provided conceptual engineering and planning services for the expansion of Reborn Christian Academy, including portable classrooms, parking modifications, utility, connections and developmental site planning. The project site occupies approximately 8.26 acres in Osceola County. KPMF also planned the layout for a future 2-story classroom building. The site development plan includes site geometry and dimension drawings, grading, paving and drainage drawings and details, on-site water and sewer utility connection drawings, lift station design for new buildings, signing and striping details and a stormwater system analysis.

There’s more to come!

We are also in the concept planning phase of three additional school projects. Our engineers are hard at work designing a public Elementary School in Celebration, FL for the School District of Osceola County and are working with Southcrest Management LLC for two additional charter schools, one in the City of Kissimmee and the other in Polk County.
