Civil Engineering Internship – Orlando and Kissimmee Offices

KPM Franklin is a rapidly growing civil engineering and land surveying firm seeking currently enrolled geomatics students and recent graduates for fall and spring internships in our Kissimmee office. Our interns gain practical knowledge and experience working on active projects under the guidance of a licensed professional surveyor and mapper (PSM) or senior project manager. Interns build a solid foundation of technical skills working in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Interns learn how to research public records for land titles, property surveys and other legal documents to resolve property boundaries and rights-of-way; prepare survey data, charts, plots, maps, records and documents; and work on field note reduction and field-to-finish processing. Additional practical experience is gained from assisting with field work preparation; construction staking calculations for reports; and writing property boundary survey descriptions for use in deeds, leases and other legal documents. Our interns also participate in some weekly department meetings and have the option of gaining field experience as well.

Our internships are paid positions working in a meaningful and challenging environment. We offer flexible scheduling around classes and other student commitments.
