Project Summary
KPM Franklin has been contracted by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 5 to provide civil engineering services for intersection improvements to improve safety and overall operations at the eastbound U.S. Highway 1 (U.S. 1) and Pineda Causeway (SR 404) off ramp intersection in Brevard County, Florida. The existing southbound U.S. 1 to eastbound Pineda Causeway ramp will be modified to provide a dedicated auxiliary lane onto southbound U.S. 1 through the intersection of the eastbound Pineda Causeway off ramp with U.S. 1. A new signal will be constructed at the intersection of the eastbound Pineda Causeway off ramp at U.S. 1 to improve safety for motorists utilizing the eastbound Pineda Causeway off ramp that want to make a left turn on U.S. 1 heading northbound.
Scope of work included roadway analysis and plans, stormwater drainage plans, signing and pavement markings analysis and plans, signalization plans and 3D modeling.
