Hillpointe Davenport Force Main

The sanitary force main connection at the Hillpointe multi-family project in Davenport was successfully completed ahead of schedule on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. This installation was projected to take up to four days but was completed in only two. Work took place during nighttime hours between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. to avoid impacts to morning and afternoon rush hour traffic because the sanitary force main is in the middle travel lane of Ronald Reagan Parkway, a busy divided four-lane highway. Despite these challenges, the Florida Construction and Land Corp installation crew skillfully navigated the existing utilities, ensuring minimal disruption to traffic and the surrounding area.

KPM Franklin’s David Gelalia, senior project manager, is providing civil engineering design for this site, which includes utility, drainage and stormwater plans.
