KPM Franklin is providing civil engineering services to Southcrest Management LLC for the Mater Academy Davenport K-8 Charter School in Central Florida.
Our services at the eight-acre site include conceptual engineering, site planning, civil engineering design and permitting. Our drainage work includes surface stormwater management, turn lane improvements and fire suppression water and sanitary sewer systems.
We are excited to see this project move forward with the official groundbreaking ceremony at the construction site in Davenport at the intersection of Old Kissimmee Road and Ronald Reagan Parkway. KPM Franklin also is working with Southcrest Management to design a realignment of Old Kissimmee Road by moving it approximately 75 feet east to connect perpendicularly with Ronald Reagan Parkway.
Southcrest Management, LLC is a family-owned construction and land development company that has been operating in Florida since 2012. KPM Franklin has worked with Southcrest Management on multiple charter school projects and are consistently impressed with their efficiency and professionalism. Never before have we seen an under 12-month turnaround between the start of a design phase thru completion at the start of a school year, and we can’t wait to see it again. We anticipate the project’s completion to align with students’ return to school for the 2022 fall semester.
Mater Academy is educating and inspiring Central Florida’s youth with mindfulness programs and curriculum designed to engage with every student, motivating them to reach their highest potential. It’s new school in Davenport will provide a technology-rich environment within all academic areas, high-quality curricular and extra-curricular activities and effective teaching strategies. This campus will be the latest addition to the Mater Academy family of 26 tuition-free public charter schools, which are educating and inspiring more than 14,000 students daily.
