Landscape Architect - Orlando Office

KPM Franklin is a rapidly growing civil engineering and land surveying firm that is seeking a full-time landscape architect for our Orlando office who is registered in Florida or actively working toward Florida registration. This person will prepare landscape and hardscape conceptual designs and construction plans for green spaces, waterfront spaces, resort and residential pool and amenity areas, outdoor event spaces, parks, multi-use trail systems, streetscapes, urban plazas and more. Ideal candidates will have commercial experience in Central Florida working on multifamily residential, multiuse, hospitality, theme park, office and healthcare facility projects. This job will occasionally travel to client meetings and project sites.

Desired Project Management Expertise
• Knowledge of landscape architectural and hardscape design principles
• Experience working from conceptual design through construction
• Expertise using a wide range of design tools from hand sketching to digital modeling
• Experience preparing construction documents
• Monitor compliance with local jurisdiction codes, rules and regulations
• Adhere to internal QA/QC policies, performance standards and best practices
• Experience collaborating with civil engineers

Education, Experience and Software Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university or college
• Must be a registered landscape architect (RLA) in Florida or actively working toward Florida registration
• Minimum 2-5 years of landscape architectural design experience
• Proficient producing landscape design and construction plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Land FX and other digital landscape design programs
• Authorized to work in the United States

Compensation and Benefits
• $70,000 - $90,000 Florida RLA; $55,000 - $70,000 bachelor’s degree working on Florida registration
