Senior Drainage Professional Engineer (PE) – Orlando Office

KPM Franklin is a rapidly growing civil engineering and land surveying firm seeking a full-time senior drainage professional engineer (PE) for our Orlando office. Ideal candidates will be responsible for managing drainage analysis, design and production projects; bridge hydraulic analysis; and environmental permitting in accordance with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), local municipalities and local drainage district standards, criteria and accepted practices. Additional responsibilities include assisting with letters of intent (LOI) and mentoring, training and/or supervising junior engineers and engineering interns. This job occasionally requires travel to client meetings and project sites.

Desired Project Management Expertise
• Drainage analysis, design and production experience
• Bridge hydraulic analysis experience
• Environmental permitting experience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), municipalities and local drainage district standards, criteria and accepted practices
• Advanced level of technical writing and communication skills required for technical reports and proposals
• Experience working on projects for FDOT District 5
• Intermediate to advanced experience with roadway design, utility coordination and/or PD&E

Education, Experience and Software Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree title Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university
• Must have Florida professional engineer (PE) license
• Minimum 8 years of prior work experience in drainage analysis and design
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D with advanced knowledge of Microstation, Geopak, AdlCPR, and ASAD
